The Modeled Economy
One auditable ledger for everything the substrate supplies.
A cellular automaton does not get chemistry for free. Every quantity that stands in for what real molecules provide — action, heredity, variation, energy gating — is authored into the model. The Modeled Economy is the single, declared, itemized register of all of that supplied structure, together with the labeling discipline that keeps it honest. It is a substrate-engine construct, not a kernel construct: it introduces no primitive and no canon change.
Why a ledger, not just a label
The “supplied, not ontic” discipline is real, but on its own it was scattered across three substrate reckonings and asserted rather than itemized:
- Duncan’s Neighborhood (space) — removes a supplied structure, direction.
- The local-tik resolution (time) — removes a supplied structure, a global clock.
- The chemistry-substitute substrate (economy) — adds supplied structure, an authored economy, labeled “supplied, not ontic.”
Without a single ledger of what was supplied, a passing sovereignty result cannot be checked against the only question that matters at acceptance: did the structure produce its own order, or did the authored economy hand it the win? The Economy Ledger is the artifact that makes that check possible — every supplied quantity in one place, auditable.
What it certifies, and what it does not
The Modeled Economy makes the supplied cost economy visible so that robustness of
who is paying — not mere survival — is what a run is judged on. It does not
claim sovereignty; that verdict stays gated on the open G1 / M2 problem. A structure
passing all four sovereignty conditions against a supplied economy is a sandbox
sovereign: a faithful demonstration of the shape of sovereignty, not the thing
a living cell is.
